More from Empire Writes Back

This is not the first time the Jets have had success with an undrafted free agent wide receiver. The name Wayne Chrebet will be synonymous with the Jets from now until eternity. He may be the best UDFA in franchise history.

Robby Anderson, in due time, might just give him a run for his money. Mike Maccagnan found him in 2016 after the draft was over, but he really didn’t come into his own until 2017. We can all say we have seen what can only be called his meteoric rise to one of the top young receivers in this league.

Has it been fun to watch or what?

With two games left to go, Anderson has an outside shot of going over the 1,000 receiving yard mark, with 888 accumulated so far. He averages a healthy 15.6 yards per reception, establishing himself as quite the deep threat. At only 24 years old he is just going to keep getting better.

Whomever plays quarterback for this team is going to reap the benefits of this young man on the outside for years to come. He may be Mike Maccagnan’s top find of his young tenure.
