Who are the five best shortstops in New York Mets history?

The New York Mets have had a colorful history. From the beginning, the characters have come in and out of Queens. From the days of Casey Stengel to today, the Mets have been an interesting team. It’s hard to say a “winning” team with only two World Championships to their credit. But their history has been colorful.

It has also been a talented history. Believe it or not, the Mets rosters have always sported talented players. In the early days it started with former members of the Brooklyn Dodgers, but it moved on to their own players. There have been great pitchers, like Tom Seaver and Dwight Gooden to name a couple. But there have been great position players as well.
