New York Giants 2017 Roster Preview: Offensive Linemen
By Sean Dyer
Final Depth Chart
Offensive line troubles are what held the New York Giants back from making a postseason run in 2016. Unfortunately, Big Blue didn’t do a whole lot to improve the positional unit.
When I say they didn’t do a lot to address their weakest position group, I’m not trying to knock what Jerry Reese did this offseason. In fact, I said that the Giants had one of the most productive offseasons in the league on our podcast this past weekend.
The fact of the matter is, however, that New York’s starting offensive line this year will look exactly the same as last year’s. The only real changes can be seen with the reserves.
Jerry Reese and the New York Giants are counting on guys like Ereck Flowers and Bobby Hart to take major steps forward in their development.
Both tackles may progress and the entire offensive line may improve as a unit. However, if the 2017 season comes to an end without a fifth Lombardi Trophy, the offensive line will likely be to blame.
Tomorrow, we’ll take a look at the players lining up across from the offensive linemen in practice as we preview the Giants talented defensive line.
