UCLA Linebacker Myles Jack

Any Giants fan that went to sleep before the first round ended that was upset that Myles Jack wasn’t selected 10th overall will be happy to see he is still available in Round 2. The Giants were supposedly one of the teams to give an okay to Jack’s knee this week, but were not interested in him. Could that change now?

With the clear need that the Giants have at linebacker, and have seemingly had for years, Jack would immediately fill it. While the knee problems scared teams away in the first round, it would be much easier to stomach in the second round.

There is no denying the talent that Jack has; if he didn’t have the knee issue he would have been a top-5 pick easily. The Giants could now land a top talent in the second round as the only thing holding Jack back is the potential knee issues. On the field, Jack is the real deal possessing elite athleticism, coverage skills for a linebacker and can play the run.

He is the complete package for a linebacker, and would bring a smile to the face of Giants fans that have been waiting for them to invest in linebacker talent for years. Jack should be one of the first players off the board in Round 2, so if the Giants really want him they may need to trade up as they did for Landon Collins last season.
