It has been a hectic last couple of months for the New York Yankees, who seemed to be in a rough stretch. The good news is that they have slowly been getting it together. After securing a couple of road wins in Boston and Philadelphia, things are starting to look promising. These victories showed glimpses of the team we believed the Yankees could be at the beginning of the season. Even better, their schedule for August gets easier.

New York has the fourth easiest schedule in August. Only the San Francisco Giants have a better schedule ahead of them. This should give the Yankees some confidence about what's to come with their schedule starting to become softer. If they take advantage of next month's schedule, it should put them in good shape for the playoffs as it inches closer. There's no excuse why this Yankees team can not take advantage of the schedule.

The Yankees will play 27 of their next 33 games against teams below .500. This includes the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angeles, Washington Nationals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Texas Rangers. The only two teams that should present a challenge to the Yankees for the month of August are the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cleveland Guardians.

Yankees' Remaining Schedule Gives Their Playoff Odds A Boost

If the Yankees fail to take advantage of their August schedule, it will be disappointing. The rivals that lie in the same division as them have one of the toughest remaining schedules. Now is the time to take control of what lies in front of them.
