The New York Giants are holding the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and will likely use that selection on an offensive player.

The Giants had a disappointing offensive group in 2023, ranking 29th in the league in total offense (280) and 31st in both passing offense (169.8) and points per game (15.6). Brian Daboll's squad needs some more juice on the offensive end.

Furthermore, the Giants aren't placing the franchise tag on RB Saquon Barkley, so the most explosive playmaker on the team is going to hit the open market.

This could leave New York without a dynamic element in the offense and that needs to change in the offseason.

Former Giant great and NFL Network's Shaun O'Hara believes the Giants are locked in on a specific playmaker.

Giants Rumors: New York Reportedly Aiming to Snag Rome Odunze

O'Hara said, "I know the Giants are drooling over this guy," in a segment on NFL Total Access in regards to Rome Odunze. There is a high probability that Washington WR Odunze is on the clock at No. 6.

Odunze (6'3) has terrific size but moves so fluidly in open space to pile up YAC. The 21-year-old owns great ball skills and rises up to bring down those contested catches. In 2023, Odunze had 92 receptions for 1,640 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns.

If he was brought into town, Odunze would immediately become the No. 1 WR on the team. The Giants haven't had a 1,000-yard receiver since 2018 with Odell Beckham Jr. (1,052).

Who knows if Odunze is really the target in the first round but if he is, the Giants are bringing in a blue-chip prospect.
