The start of free agency has been action-packed for the New York Giants as the team made a massive trade for Brian Burns while filling holes at guard, defensive back, and backup quarterback. The moves will make the team better heading into 2024 while it also muddies the future for several players with the Giants.

The moves by general manager Joe Schoen have made it evident that the Giants plan on contending for the playoffs in 2024 rather than entering a rebuild. The Giants still have around ten million in cap space while contract restructures could clear an additional thirty million in cap space to further better this roster.

As the team prepares to push their chips all in here are five players whose jobs are currently at risk.

5. Tommy DeVito - Quarterback

The undrafted free agent from New Jersey took the state and the league by storm after injuries to Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor allowed DeVito extended playing time. The Giants have lost Tyrod Taylor to the Jets and have replaced him with Drew Lock as the back up to Daniel Jones. Lock hasn't been injured nearly as much as Tyrod Taylor making it difficult for DeVito to find his way into playing time.

This is further complicated for DeVito if the Giants look to draft a quarterback either with the sixth pick or later in the draft. Since DeVito is an undrafted free agent the Giants have no assets tied to him, it would be relatively easy for the team to cut bait with the hometown kid.
