3 Jets Most Likely to Be Traded This Offseason
The New York Jets will be active in the offseason over the next few months. Everything is on the table for Gang Green in 2024 as it's a must-win season for everyone in the organization. General manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh will leave no stone unturned in attempts to improve this group.
The first step starts with New York evaluating their own roster and making decisions on who will be a good fit going forward. Below, we'll discuss three players who may be moved this offseason.
1. Zach Wilson
This one doesn't come as a surprise to anyone who followed the Jets closely over the past three years. Zach Wilson was selected with No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to become the Jets' franchise signal caller.
Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the case in New York. Wilson has struggled with his confidence, mechanics, and the pressure of being a quarterback in the Big Apple. The BYU product never seemed to be comfortable as the Jets quarterback.
The plan in 2023 was for Wilson to have a redshirt year behind his idol Aaron Rodgers. Four plays into the season, that was put to rest as Rodgers tore his Achilles, and Wilson was thrust right back into action.
He struggled immensely, throwing for 2,271 yards with eight passing scores to seven interceptions in 12 games this past season.
Wilson was also benched on three different occasions during his Jets tenure. New York has gauged the 24-year-old trade value around the league and will certainly be looking to move on.
