Even after a disappointing 2023 season, there's no denying that the New York Yankees consistently field one of the best rosters in Major League Baseball. And it's not just Yankees fans who believe that.

Other teams are constantly scooping up former Yankees in free agency to try to round out their roster. Not all of these former Yanks will succeed, but plenty go on to do great things with their new teams.

There are still some players who aren't so lucky, however. These three former Yankees still can't find a job with an MLB team for 2024 even with Opening Day arriving this week.

1. Ryan Weber

After bouncing around between three teams in 2021, Ryan Weber settled down with the Yankees in 2022 and 2023. He spent significantly more time playing Triple-A ball than in the majors, but he did appear in 5 big league games in 2022 and another 8 in 2023.

That experience was apparently not enough for the 33-year-old reliever to catch the eye of any other team.

It's also not all that hard to see why nobody came calling this winter. Weber struggles with control and getting hitters to chase things out of the zone. Having made 76 major league appearances dating back to 2015, his 4.88 ERA and a vast array of poor advanced stats (a 4.90 FIP, for example) are a tough sell. It's not like this is a youngster you can hope might develop into a better pitcher.

What you see is what you get with Weber, and teams don't like what they see.
