The New York Yankees, as we know, are expecting a bounce back season that saw them missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 2016. Here we discuss 10 predictions for the Yankees this season as they prepare for the 2024 season.

1. Juan Soto Has A Monster Season

New outfield acquisition Juan Soto landed with the Yankees in a blockbuster trade with the San Diego Padres. Now hitting in a star-stud lineup that features Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gleyber Torres expect Soto to make a huge difference. If Soto can be the same player he was last year, I could see him hitting 50 home runs. And that is thanks to the short porch in right-field that has seemed to benefit many players when hitting to that side of the field. As a result of his monster year in pinstripes Soto also enters himself into MVP conversation as one of the top three finalists.

2. Carlos Rodon Has A Bounceback Season

Indeed, last year was a disappointing season for Carlos Rodon, who was signed by the Yankees in December of 2022 during free agency. Injuries played a major factor in the early struggles in pinstripes though. With ace Gerrit Cole already sideline for 1-2 months, I expect Rodon to lead the way. This spring thus far, he has been much efficient in his starts and does look in better shape. I have him pitching around an ERA of 3.86 as he rebounds to his normal self as the year progresses. That's a big if he can stay healthy.
