Jets Rumored to Be Among Frontrunners in Trading For Star WR
It has been a rough week for the New York Jets. Just recently, they fired their head coach Robert Saleh just five games into the season. This news isn't surprising considering the Jets' recent struggles. New York heading into this season had expectations of coming into the AFC East as favorites. So far, they haven't shown it. They do have a chance to redeem themselves with a win over the Buffalo Bills next Monday which could put them in first place in the AFC East.
As far as coaching goes, defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has taken over as interim head coach and will lead the team for the remainder of the season.
There has been better news that should provide the team with some relief. They have been named as one of the four teams left in the Davante Adams sweepstakes. The other teams that are rumored to be still part of it include the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Buffalo Bills. Notably, some heavyweights like the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and Washington Commanders have been eliminated.
NFL Rumors: Jets Among Favorites to Land Davante Adams
It would be great to see New York land a star like Davante Adams. With the offense struggling, adding a player of his caliber could provide a much-needed boost in both performance and morale for the rest of the season. He has been known for his precise route-running and can create separation. That has been something this team has been lacking.
