Week 7- Buffalo Bills at New York Jets – Sunday,10/25/20 @ 1:00 PM (CBS)

Last season the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills split their season series for a third consecutive year. It was week one where the Bills came storming back from a 16-0 deficit to steal the win. In week 17, with the Bills resting key players, the Jets squeaked by with a 13-6 victory.

The Bills finished at 10-6 and earned their second playoff appearance in three seasons. Head coach Sean McDermott has turned Buffalo around into possibly the new favorites in the AFC East. Last season, things ended earlier in the postseason as too many mistakes cost the Bills a win in Houston. Facing off against the Jets this season, there will be some new faces for them to account for.

The Bills lost a few key pieces like Frank Gore (to the Jets), Shaq Lawson, Cory Liuget, Jordan Phillips, and Kevin Johnson. The team added some high profile guys such as Josh Norman, A.J. Klein, and trading for Stefon Diggs. This adds to the pieces the team acquired in the draft in A.J. Espenesa, Zack Moss, and Gabriel Davis.

There looks to be like a changing of the guard in the AFC East. Buffalo looks look like the strongest contender to take the division away from New England. To do that, they are going to need third-year quarterback, Josh Allen, to take a significant step in his development. The defense is the clear strength of this team, so a consistent offense could lead to a special season.
