New England has won 10 straight games (including the Super Bowl), and 18 straight at Gillette Stadium. They have also won five in a row against NFC opponents. The Pats covered in seven of their last nine. For a nice kicker, Bill Belichick is 11-0 against rookie quarterbacks since arriving in New England.

Last Week
Patriots
New England had trouble early on against Washington. The Skins jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Tom Brady rallied the troops and NE scored 33 unanswered points. The Pats dominated in almost every offensive team statistic. Additionally, they showed why they are one of the league’s best defenses this season, holding their opponents to 223 yards.
Leaders:
- QB Tom Brady – 28/42, 348 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 interception.
- RB Sony Michel – 16 carries, 93 yards, 1 touchdown, 3 receptions, 32 yards.
- WR Julian Edelman – 8 receptions, 110 yards, 1 touchdown.
- LB Dont’a Hightower – 8 tackles, 4.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 pass defended, 2 QB hits.

As we have written ad nauseum this week, the New York Giants were beaten soundly by Minnesota on Sunday. They had chances to put more points on the board but failed to do so, the G-Men lost 28-10. Big Blue had little success on either side of the ball as evidenced by the fact they were singlehandedly outgained by Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, 218-211.
- QB Daniel Jones – 21/38, 182 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception.
- WR Darius Slayton – 4 receptions, 62 yards, 1 touchdown.
- S Antoine Bethea – 11 tackles.
- S Jabrill Peppers – 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble.
This Week
It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the New York Giants can realistically win this game. According to the betting lines, Big Blue won’t be anywhere close. This may be one of the most complete teams of the Belichick/ Brady era. They can move the ball either on the ground or through the air. New England’s defense can be stifling against a fully staffed team. Consider the G-Men will be without their top three offensive weapons Shepard, Engram, and Barkley, and you can see why the spread is so big.
