New York Giants: An open letter to Dave Gettleman, we aren’t sheep

Respect is a two-way street
"“I may kid around. But when you are dealing with people, you don’t take one part of that lightly. If there is anything I’ve learned when you are saying something difficult to somebody you have got to make sure you give them their dignity.”"
Really? Read some of your comments to the media since you traded OBJ and get back to me on this.

Dave, I’ve put my cards on the table. But I’m going to give you something that you obviously aren’t willing to do for the fans. I appreciate your previous contributions to the New York Giants organization. When asked, anyone in the front office at the time you were there has said you performed your job excellently. Kudos again to you for fighting through your bout with cancer last year and beating a relentless opponent bent on destruction.
Just don’t ask me to believe in you when you have: misread situations, lied about why you did things and disrespected anyone who doesn’t agree with your grand plan to run and stop the run between the tackles.
I want to be wrong about you. You have no idea how much I want to be wrong. I’ve been a Giants fan for a very long time. My dad was a Giants fan since the team’s inception. Our blood runs blue.
If your vision proves to be true. I’ll be the first one to apologize. I’d owe you that courtesy. Should that day come to fruition, imagine myself somewhat in the position of Lord Varys before his execution for plotting against Daenerys on Game of Thrones. “I hope I deserve this. Truly, I do. I hope I’m wrong.”
Respectfully,
Ed Stein
