Peyton can make the right call

There are now rumors of Peyton Manning filling the vacant, full-time general manager role. I hope that they can turn those speculations into reality. This is one of the best football minds that the game has ever seen and he would help the franchise in more ways than one. Manning can aid in the development of Darnold into more of a threat than Gase ever could alone.

Who better to learn from than from one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play? Not only that, he’ll be able to stabilize the Jets, make big decisions, as well as the obvious ones such as keeping a talent like Bell on the team and not trading him.

Bottom line, it would be absolutely absurd if the Jets were to end up trading Bell. He’s going to be hungry and perform when it matters. Bell has experienced big games and shined in the heat of the moment. That is something that many of these young New York Jets don’t have on their resume’s yet.

Bell is the veteran ball carrier that this team must have moving forward. The clear decision is to keep him. If he stays, I think I can speak for all of the fans representing Gang Green when I say that he would be heavily valued for his contributions by an incredibly loyal New York fanbase. If he goes, those loyal fans will be quick to turn on Gase… If they haven’t started to already.

For Gase’s sake, I hope he can make the right moves as head coach and Interim GM. If not and Bell shines somewhere else, he’ll be chased out of a coaching job as fast as anyone has been chased out of a job in the history of the NFL.
