New York Giants ideal scenario for opening two days of the draft
By Ed Stein
Day Two
Gettleman has traded away his second-round pick but wants to get back into it because there is a player he really likes in the latter third of the round. They send their 2020 third round pick along with a pair of 2019 fifth round picks (144 and 171) to New England for the 56th overall pick.

The New York Giants use their new second rounder for Nassir Adderley. He can cover the field from sideline to sideline and is a big hitter in the secondary. They see the former University of Delaware Blue Hens safety as someone who can play the nickel and be a replacement for safety Antoine Bethea.
So far the Giants have gotten a dominating pass rusher, huge skilled tackle, quarterback, and a possible replacement for the departed Landon Collins. There is one more area where the G-Men need a boost and with a wide disparity over grades, they should be able to get a decent deep threat with the 96th overall pick.
Ohio State wideout Terry McLaurin fits the bill. His sub 4.4 speed gives him the ability to separate from defensive backs and take off once he has the ball. As with many skill players taken at this stage, he has some developing to do.
The final results for the Giants ideal opening two days of the draft are, OLB – Josh Allen, T – Andre Dillard, a trade for QB Josh Rosen, S- Nassir Adderly, and WR – Terry McLaurin. On day three they still have a fourth round (133), sixth round (181), and two seventh-round picks (234 and 247).
