With the 17th overall pick in the 2019 draft, the New York Giants select Jonah Williams, offensive lineman, Alabama. This came down to Clelin Ferrell and Williams. In the end, Williams came out on top as Gettleman and company prioritize offensive lineman over edge rushers. He is Another perfect pick for Gettleman after selecting Daniel Jones with the sixth pick. Jonah Williams is a tackle and there is nothing that can be said to make me think otherwise.

This pick would complete Gettleman’s revamped offensive line by sliding in a right tackle. Williams is an experienced starter from the best college football team with the ability to play all five positions. They love their “hog mollies” and there is no better in this draft than the Tide’s left tackle.

Andre Dillard

Ed Stein, Empire Writes Back

I’ve been all around the block on this pick and I keep coming back to the same player, Andre Dillard. I covered Washington State last season and saw Dillard play quite often. The 6-5, 312-pound offensive tackle is an absolute beast in both the pass and run games. He is a dominator on the offensive line.

The other aspect of his game that impressed me is his football IQ. Washington State’s “Air Raid” offense is very complicated, and he never looked lost in it. He is the type of tackle Eli Manning wishes he had on his blind side the past few seasons. The only reason I can think why the New York Giants don’t pick him at 17 is that he’s already gone by the time they come back on the clock.
