Evan Engram is back.

Okay, if not for some garbage time TDs in the Giants loss to the Cowboys earlier this season, Evan Engram really has not done much.

He has spent a majority of this season injured, but will play Monday night.

It is not that the Giants have immensely missed Engram, it is just mostly that they could use another weapon for Eli.

If useful for nothing else, Engram can be another body that tries to get open close to Eli on pass plays so he has another option to quickly dump the ball to.

Engram is still a player with a lot of potential. If he minimizes the drops, he will be on the right track. But, that is all some big picture stuff.

As for the Falcons, he is a player to watch because there is not a lot of sample of him. The Giants’ tight ends have not done too much this season, but they open the offense up.

The Giants can get a little more creative now that they will have more depth on offense. The Giants need people who can block for Eli or Saquon Barkley, but Engram can be a weapon.

In his return, I wouldn’t expect that much.

However, in a game where keeping the Falcons off the field and trying to score as many points as possible (obviously), having a guy like Engram who might be able to sneak through the cracks and make some big plays is imperative.

Regardless of how well he does, him doing anything is still better than him being out and doing nothing. This gives him breathing room to play admirably.
