Tom  Brady

As much as Jets fans hate to talk about this guy, we cannot talk about modern-day quarterbacks without including this guy.

Ironically, for anyone who doesn’t remember, Brady’s career began in a game against the Jets. Drew Bledsoe was scrambling and Mo Lewis hit him as hard as anyone has ever hit someone. Bledsoe bled internally, among other problems, and Brady took over.

He didn’t look back.

We could talk about all of Brady’s wonderful accomplishments but that is far too depressing on a New York sports website. Cheating, or alleged cheating could be talked about, but we still don’t want to offend anyone.

Time for the comparison. Here are Brady’s numbers after six career starts:

  • 120-190, 63.1% completion percentage, 1,273 yards, ten touchdowns, four interceptions, 4-2 record

Compared to Darnold once again:

  • 107-179, 59.8% completion percentage, 1,346 yards, nine touchdowns, seven interceptions, 3-3 record

Through six starts, Brady only recorded one more win than Darnold, and Darnold has more yardage with one less touchdown.

The most glaring again is the completion percentage, but the comparison is still reasonable and worth discussing.
