New York Knicks: Another way too-early 2019 Draft Prospects
Could Quentin Grimes be the guy?
Quentin Grimes is one of the least talked about players who has the potential to be fantastic. Standing at 6’4″ 204 pounds, Grimes has a solid frame for a shooting guard.
Grimes has a fantastic game with the ability to drive or pull up on anyone.
In the McDonalds All-American Game back in March, Grimes went for 14 points, 6 assists, 1 block and 1 rebound in 19 minutes.
If this game shows us anything which it does considering he was playing against the best talent in the country, Grimes has some super potential.
Grimes is taking his talents to Kansas University where he will play alongside Devon Dotson, KJ Lawson, Charlie Moore and others who have the potential to tear up college basketball.
Alongside those three, Udoka Azubuike and more, Grimes has the potential to show the country he can be a difference maker on the court.
Out of high school, Grimes was the eighth ranked player in the class of 2019 according to ESPN’s top 100.
Not only was he the eighth ranked player overall, but he was the second ranked shooting guard and top player out of Texas.
If all goes according to plan with him at Kansas this season, there is a chance we could see Grimes in a Knicks uniform for the 2019-20 season.
The Knicks lack a lot of talent at shooting guard. Their current shooting guards on the roster are Tim Hardaway Jr, Frank Ntilikina and Damyean Dotson. With that, the Knicks could use some help.
By adding Grimes, the Knicks are getting a guy who makes a difference on every front. He can drive and shoot with the best of them while also swatting shots from the paint.
He is one of the most well-rounded shooting guards we have seen in some time and could make a difference for any team that winds up with him following the 2019 NBA Draft.
