Teddy  Bridgewater Looked Healthy and Solid

More from Empire Writes Back

The smile on this young man’s face made it worthwhile, did it not?

We all know the story of Teddy Bridgewater. He blew out his knee and missed essentially the last two seasons, save for a little mop up time in 2017.

Not only did Bridgewater make his first appearance, he played very well.

He looked solid on his feet and he made strong, accurate throws. Bridgewater was able to get that first hit out of the way and know he was OK.

How well did he play? Well, he went 7-8 through the air for 85 yards and a 16 yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Crowell.

Bridgewater led the Jets on a ten play, 47 yard scoring drive that ended with the Crowell touchdown. Throughout the drive he showed signs of the guy that helped the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs in 2015.

This doesn’t change the fact that he is likely to be traded before the season starts. What it does is show other teams that he is healthy. If this can continue for Bridgewater, teams will be more likely to come with offers for the still-young quarterback.
