1. Dolphins at Jets, 10/23/00

Was there really any doubt about the number one choice here? The “Monday Night Miracle” was the landmark game in for many Jets fans. To come back from 30 down and to do it against a division rival was simply amazing.

Most everyone knows the story here. It was a tale of two halves. In the first half it was all Miami. Other than a 10 yard touchdown pass from Testaverde to Chrebet, Miami handled all of the scoring. Miami scored the first 20 before the Jets got on the board, and they put up ten more before the half ended with the Dolphins up 30-7.

The second half was a totally different story. The comeback began with a 30 yard scoring strike from Testaverde to Laveranues Coles. The Jets tied the game at 37 with a play that has lived on for years and years:

It was a TD for Jumbo! The game went into overtime before John Hall won it with a 40 yard field goal with 8:13 remaining. For anyone who remained in the stands, it was a night that will never be forgotten. The same can be said for those of us who saw it on TV. Oh what a night it was. It was easily the greatest comeback in franchise history.
