With the 2018 NFL season upcoming we look at the five best running backs the New York Jets face on the upcoming schedule.

It’s the waiting period for the NFL. There are no more minicamps to talk about. There aren’t any practices to read about until later in July. Other than talking about everyone’s love for Sam Darnold, there won’t be much news surrounding the New York Jets for several weeks. It’s almost like the calm before the storm. It’s the last bit of rest before we have wall to wall football.

So what do we do? Of course we will talk about baseball, and the NBA/NHL are in their respective draft seasons. There are certainly topics to discuss around these pages, but what about football? We can’t just forget about the NFL. That would almost be sacrilegious. After all, Jets fans want to talk Jets football 12 months out of the year. It’s what we do, am I right?

What we can do is look at the schedule and take a deeper dive into it. We can look at the opponents and see who the tough players are. Today we will being doing just that. Specifically we are taking a look at the five best running backs on the schedule facing the Jets. The Jets were once tough to beat against the run, last year they were ranked 24th. Who must they stop in order to raise that number?

Here are the five best backs the Jets will face, in no particular order.
