Sexton was one of the best players in the nation last season ultimately leading the Crimson Tide to the second round of the NCAA tournament before losing to the eventual National Champions. He is arguably one of the most NBA ready players in the draft seeing he spent a year under former NBA player/coach Avery Johnson.
Johnson brought an NBA type playing style to Alabama which will really help players like Sexton make the jump from the NCAA to the NBA. This will help the young point guard in a large way seeing he is somewhat used to the fast pace of play in the NBA.
If the Knicks do end up picking Collin Sexton with their ninth overall pick, they will be getting a guy who is ready to make an immediate impact in his rookie year. They will be getting a pure scorer who knows how to space the floor and change a team in a great way.
