When will Andrew Luck get back on the field and how effective will he be once he does? No one really knows the answer to either of those questions, but the Colts certainly hope he’s back for the 2018 season. If he’s not back early in the season, Indianapolis will quickly be out of contention and they will likely shut Luck down for another year.
Either way, the Colts just don’t have enough talent for next season. They’ll have an extra two second-round picks this year after trading back in the first round with the Jets and they may look to trade back even further to add more young talent. That young talent will help down the road but 2018 will still be a rebuilding year for the Colts.
T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle are their only offensive weapons and their offensive line still needs plenty of work. Their defense is also unimpressive, led by Jabaal Sheard and Malik Hooker.
The Cleveland Browns were terrible last year, but the Indianapolis Colts had the least talented roster without Luck on the field. With or without Luck, the Colts are going to lose a lot of games in 2018, one of which will be their Week 16 matchup with the New York Giants.
