New York Jets: Robby Anderson talking his way out of New York
New York Jets receiver Robby Anderson doing all he can to be off the team.
Robby Anderson is the best deep threat the New York Jets have had on the field in quite some time. Watch the film. He literally blows by his opponents. His 14.9 yards per reception average shows just how lethal he is as a vertical threat. Anderson became a preferred target of Josh McCown as the season went along and has a bright future ahead of him on the field.
However, if he can’t clean up his act off of the field his play on it won’t make a difference. Things have not been going well for the young receiver since the 2017 season ended.

It started out with his arrest. While encountering the policeman, he resisted arrest and made threats against the policeman’s family. That happened to be his second arrest over the last eight months.
Now he has turned his attention to a former NFL great turned analyst. Cris Carter has incurred the wrath of the young New York Jet. He released an expletive-laden tweet early on Tuesday morning. It was deleted shortly after but in this social media world, nothing is really “gone”.
If you want to take a look at the deleted tweet, click here. Due to the nature of the tweet it will not be quoted on this website.
Cris Carter has always been a critical analyst. It’s no surprise that he is especially critical of wide receivers. Not only was he one but he was one of he best ever to do it. He understands technique, route running, hands, catching the ball at its highest point and whatever else receivers do, better than everyone else. If he sees something he doesn’t like he is definitely going to make a comment.

That doesn’t mean Anderson gets to react this way. He is a professional football player. Criticism comes with the territory. If he doesn’t like what they are saying to him, he needs to get better. Mouthing off all the time is going to help nobody. It will prove, however, that he doesn’t belong on any team, much less one in New York.
Time to improve your behavior and get thick skin Robby. Either that or get out of town.
