How do New York Giants fans go about watching the upcoming Super Bowl?

In arguably the most unwatchable Super Bowl possible for New York sports fans, New York Giants fans need to make a difficult choice. The biggest game of the year comes down to division rival Philadelphia Eagles, and Super bowl rival New England Patriots. For Giants fans, possibly the second worse option to a Jets, Cowboys Super Bowl.

Let’s not discredit the amount of hatred between both franchises towards the Giants, that are competing in this years winner take all. For the division rival Eagles it’s nothing but blood and dislike. From 1978 and the “Miracle at the Meadowlands” to 2010 and the “Miracle at MetLife” and every moment in between, Philly and Giants fans don’t get along.

Some might not consider the New England Patriots, Giants are true rivalry. For starters they’re in different conferences and play once every four years. Yet, the Boston, New York rivalry is as true as the rivalry between Philly fans. And this helps add to the Patriots Giants Rivalry.

Regardless of the fact that the Giants (with Eli Manning under center) have owned the Patriots, Giants fans still hate the Patriots. Maybe it is because they are one of the only couple NFL franchises that have been more successful over time than the Giants. But for Giants fans if you root for Philadelphia in a Superbowl, that should be considered almost sacrilegious.

Despite all the fan nonsense and drama surrounding the two cities, consider the football facts for a minute. The Giants and the Eagles compete twice a year. Since 2010 the Giants record vs the Eagles is a shameful 4-12. What makes matters even worse is since 2014 the Giants record is 1-7. If it wasn’t for injury, the Eagles would have had the likely MVP of the league. And they are making this Superbowl run without him.

The Eagles have arguably one of the most talented rosters in all of the NFL:
Possibly the best offensive tackle combinations.
One of the most productive tight ends in football.
And two of the most disruptive defensive players in football in Fletcher Cox and Malcolm Jenkins.

This combination of skill and a promising quarterback at the helm, this is a recipe for future success.

Skill players do come and go but what Giants fans should be most nervous about is the aforementioned Wentz. Carson Wentz is 25 years old and just about to bud into the prime of his career. With the defense that finished fourth (in the regular season) in total defense and has a superstar at quarterback, how could you root for the Eagles to start their dynasty.
