Justin Tuck

Justin Tuck would have to take a break from getting his MBA at Wharton but he could be a beast in the XFL.

Tuck had a great NFL career, playing nine seasons with the New York Giants before finishing his career with two seasons with the Oakland Raiders. In his career, Tuck totaled 510 tackles, 66.5 sacks, and 22 forced fumbles. He’s also a two-time Super Bowl champion.

More from New York Giants

In his final year with the Giants (2013), Tuck had 63 total tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles. New York then “disrespected” Tuck with their contract offer and he left for Oakland, which at the time was still a place where players went to die (similar to how the Cleveland Browns are).

Tuck had a somewhat productive 2014 season with the Raiders (43 total tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles) but then played only five games in 2015 before going on injured reserve with a chest injury. He then retired after that season.

Who knows? Had Tuck stayed in the Big Apple, perhaps his career would’ve ended differently. Perhaps his career would still be going (he turns 35 in March).

Give Tuck another chance in the XFL. He’s a leader and would be a fan favorite. And all of the fringe NFL players trying to make it in the XFL would certainly listen to what Tuck has to say.
