  • Morris Claiborne was a present surprise for the New York Jets at cornerback this year, however the rest of the cornerbacks in the Jets defense were average on their best days in 2017. Iman Marshall fits Todd Bowles scheme like a glove as a tall man-to-man corner that can play outside.

At 6’1 and 205 pounds, Marshall is coming off a disappointing season that has him dropping to the Jets in round four. With six career college interceptions, Marshall has good ball skills and has shown to be very good at hand fighting on 50-50 balls. At USC he has played press, off-man, and zone defenses which would make him a versatile piece in Bowles defense.

The most underrated part of Marshall’s game is his hitting ability. Some scouts could see him rotate to safety because of the hits he has on ball carriers in college with 165 tackles in his career at USC.
