The Buffalo Bills return home to Western New York on Sunday as they are scheduled to host the Denver Broncos and get back on track after last week’s loss to the Panthers.

The Buffalo Bills will play their second home game of the year.

The Denver Broncos and Bills play each other for the first time since 2014.

Occasion: Week 3 – 2017 NFL Season.

Where: New Era Field, Orchard Park, New York

Time 1:00 PM

TV: CBS

The Defense

The Bills are coming off back to back games in which the defense looked strong. The defense, without a doubt headlines this game.

They have yet to give up more than two touchdowns this season.

The Broncos offense looked strong against the Cowboys and they will be out to try to duplicate that performance.

Players like Jordan Poyer, Jerry Hughes, and Ramon Humber will try to continue their near dominant ways.

The Bills defense is going to continue to emerge its self as one of the best in the NFL thus far.

Tyrod

More from Empire Writes Back

Sections of the Bills Mafia was not happy with how Tyrod Taylor played last week.

There has been some backlash after their loss to Carolina on if Tyrod is really “the guy”.

LeSean McCoy came out and supported Tyrod telling the media:

"“I have a lot of confidence in Tyrod and the guys on the team, and the offense does too.”"

Coach Sean McDermott essentially told everyone that Tyrod had a good week in practice and will be ready to play against another tough defense in the Broncos’.

The Weather

Buffalo and its surrounding communities is well-known for the immense amount of snow it generates on a yearly basis.

It is also known for being cold all the time.

However, on Sunday, temperatures are expected to be high.

The sun will be shining and as of Friday, it is expected to be a ballpark estimate of 90 degrees.

The Bills announced that water bottles will be on sale for the game and that they want fans in attendance to stay hydrated.

For both teams playing in cities known for its cold, snowy weather, it is kind of unique twist to throw an extra warm day in the mix.

The Denver Broncos

Unlike the Bills, the Broncos are coming off a victory in week two.

Also unlike the Bills, the Broncos scored a lot of points last week.

However, much like the Bills, the Broncos have an above par defense.

CJ Anderson is coming off one of the best games he will have all year.

Trevor Siemian looked like a real quarterback last week.

The Broncos defense stunned last year’s juggernaut offense of the Cowboys last week as well.

Bills fans are bracing for impact here as the Broncos look like they are a serious threat to win the AFC.

Notes

Cordy Glenn and Marcell Dareus both will not play on Sunday. That leaves gaping holes for the Bills’ line on both sides of the ball.

The Broncos won the last meeting between the two teams 24-17 in Denver during the 2014 campaign.

The Bills won the last meeting in New Era field in 2011.

The Bills lead the all-time series 20-16-1, including the 1992 AFC Championship.

Denver are road favorites to win this game.

One Bold Prediction

The Bills will score 17 points or more.

Next: Bills drought series: Top curses

For Sure

New Era Field will be rocking on a nice, warm, and sunny afternoon in Western New York.

Final Thoughts

The game should be a shootout that is won or lost in the trenches.
