Here we list the up to date New York Giants roster moves.

The New York Giants are working hard on their roster, as is the rest of the NFL. For anyone who doesn’t know, all teams have to have their rosters down to 53 players by 4:00 PM EDT on Saturday. It’s all in one wave, as opposed to the past. Every year prior to this one there was an early cut down to 75 players. That is gone, so it’s one fell swoop, from 90 down to 53.

On Friday, the Giants announced nine moves, eight players being waived and one sent to injured reserve.

Here they are per the team website:

The eight players that were waived are:

The only veteran of this group is the player going to injured reserve, S Duke Ihenacho. He signed with Giants back in May but heads to IR with a knee injury.

Ihenacho spent two years in Denver followed by three years with the Redskins before heading up to New York to join the Giants. His best year was back in 2013 with the Broncos when he posted 89 tackles and nine passes defended. He added three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Ihenacho started ten games last season with the Redskins and posted 60 tackles.
