Big mistake.
After a rather decent career at North Carolina State, McCargo was expected to be selected in a mid round.
Then, the Bills Bills-ed. The team traded up to 26 to snag him.
His college team-mate, Mario Williams, was selected number one overall by the Texans that afternoon (ironically Williams would end up signing with the Bills in 2012).
After eventaully landing on IR in his first season McCargo would up having a career year in 2007 with a whooping 2.5 sacks.
Turns out, that would be it. He finished his career with just those 2.5 sacks.
The Bills could’ve gotten that kind of production out of a player who went un-drafted let alone was traded up for.
After being in terrible physical shape, and after having a trade to the Colts fail due to McCargo failing his physical, he and the Bills parted ways after the 2010 season.
But after being selected way earlier than he should-be and terrifyingly bad on filed performance, McCargo is an easy selection on this list.
Four eventual Pro-Bowlers were selected right in a row after him, who knows what those players would’ve done for the Bills at the time.
Rough.
