LG James Carpenter, C Wesley Johnson, and RG Brian Winters

James Carpenter was a first round pick for the Seattle Seahawks in 2011 and he their starting guard for most of his four years there. An ACL injury forced him to miss time in 2011 and 2012.

Carpenter has spent the last two seasons as the New York Jets starting left guard. The Alabama product had possibly the best season of his career in 2016 and will look to continue to make strides this year.

More from New York Jets

James Carpenter will be the only starter on the Jets offensive line this year who started 16 games for Gang Green last season.

Wesley Johnson started eight games for the Jets in 2016 after injuries to Nick Mangold forced him into the lineup.

Johnson held his own and is expected to start in 2017. Johnson’s contract, however, is non-guaranteed, so he’ll have to hold off his competitors to stay on the roster.

Brian Winters has started 41 games over his four-year career with the New York Jets. He started 13 games at right guard in 2016 and finally put things together after getting drafted in the third round in 2013.

Winters signed a four-year, $29 million deal in free agency this offseason and should pair with James Carpenter for a solid guard combo.

The strength of the New York Jets offensive line will be their interior linemen.
