How Adam Gase and Joe Judge Can Coach Successful 2020 Seasons

The New York Jets last made the playoffs in 2010. The New York Giants, 2016. Simply put, it has been a while since meaningful football was played at MetLife Stadium.

While 2020 may not bring a playoff appearance for either franchise, it will still be a critical season for both franchises.

As his first full off-season now complete, Jets general manager Joe Douglas looks to evaluate the talent on his roster after beginning to clean up the mess Mike Maccagnan left behind. Their head coach, Adam Gase, enters on the hot seat hoping to build off of a 6-2 finish in 2019.

In East Rutherford, the Giants enter another year of evaluating and tinkering. Slowed down by injuries and off the field distractions, the team hopes to find a few more building blocks for the future. While doing so, rookie head coach Joe Judge looks to implement the Patriot way to develop the team’s young talent.

In a year with so much out of the NFL’s control due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nothing can unify a squad more than winning. So how can two coaches with teams stuck at the bottom of the pack succeed with what they have? Here is how…
