New York Giants 2017 Roster Preview: Tight Ends
By Sean Dyer
Will Tye and Jerell Adams
The Giants moved on from Larry Donnell this offseason (perhaps a couple of seasons too late), so the remaining tight ends from last year’s team are Will Tye and Jerell Adams.

These two returning tight ends could be battling for one spot.
Will Tye has been with the Giants the past two seasons, totaling 90 receptions for 859 yards and four touchdowns.
Tye went undrafted out of Stony Brook in 2015 and has since played a key role in New York. He’s struggled a bit in the blocking department but has been a somewhat reliable receiver.
Jerell Adams was the Giants sixth round pick last year and hauled in 16 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown as a rookie.
Adams has great size (6’5″ 247 lb.) and is a better blocker than Tye. He showed potential last year and should develop into a solid NFL tight end.
With more upside, Jerell Adams likely beats out Will Tye for the third tight end spot. Will Tye’s best chance at making the Giants 53-man roster is if New York keeps four tight ends.
