New York Jets 2017 Roster Preview: Wide Receivers
By Sean Dyer
Chris Harper, Gabe Marks, Marquess Wilson, Myles White, and Deshon Foxx
Quincy Enunwa’s injury gives these five players a better chance at a roster spot, however, it’s still an uphill climb.
Chris Harper has a bit of NFL experience, appearing in 14 games the past two seasons with the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. Harper hauled in 13 passes for the Niners last year for 133 yards but likely isn’t a top NFL wideout.
Gabe Marks is an undrafted free agent out of Washington State. Marks had a great career for the Cougars, finishing his four seasons with 316 receptions for 3,453 yards and 37 touchdowns.

His touchdown scoring ability will be Marks ticket to the NFL. With so many other young, unproven receivers on this Jets roster, perhaps he has a chance.
Marquess Wilson spent the first four years of his career in Chicago. Wilson saw game action in all four seasons with the Bears but was limited due to multiple injuries. The 24-year-old’s best season was in 2015 with just 28 catches for 464 yards and a touchdown.
Wilson has plenty of talent but injuries have slowed him down. Health will determine if Wilson has a chance at making the Jets 53-man roster.
Myles White has been a reserve receiver so far in his career. He has yet to start an NFL game but played in seven games for the Green Bay Packers in 2013 and 12 games for the New York Giants in 2015.
White has 16 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown in his career and I would be shocked if he made the Jets final roster.
Deshon Foxx went undrafted in 2015 and has spent the last two seasons on and off the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. He won’t be making the New York Jets roster.
