After constant nagging from the fans and roster shuffling, the New York Mets have officially announced that MLB.com’s Number Two overall prospect, Amed Rosario, has been called up from Las Vegas and will indeed make his Major League debut in Colorado against the Rockies on Tuesday.

The news broke out all across social media but it was made official by the Mets’ verified team account.

In Triple-A Las Vegas, Amed Rosario is currently batting .328 with 129 hits, 7 dingers, and 58 RBIs.

Rosario’s call up although inevitable, is still somewhat shocking.

The Mets are obviously making the right decision.

The “Blue and Orange” have a ton of infield depth but seem to lack a plan beyond the end of this year.

Testing Rosario now is a smart long-term decision, which is what the Mets are building for now.

The 21-year-old will play his first game on the road. Which is also a common and and smart decision.

His first home game will likely be against the newly stacked Dodgers team this Friday evening.

Rosario’s call up makes Terry Collins’ job more difficult.

This really isn’t a problem.

Asdrubal Cabrera, Jose Reyes, and Neil Walker will be shuffling around the infield the rest of the year now.

Amed Rosario will not only bring his offensive and defensive talent to the field but a whole new sense of hope as well.

The Mets have not given the fans much reason to go to Citi Field the rest of the year. They are well

out of playoff contention and are showing no signs of significant improvement.

They finished July with another losing month.

However, the hype around Amed is real, and it is here.

The new Mets shortstop has gotten through the process and path to the big leagues by the motto “don’t be surprised” and “be ready”

The story is simple. He thinks he is going to be a star. Mets fans think he is going to be a star, that he is going to make it to the majors.

Now, obviously, the Mets think he is going to be a star.

“Don’t be surprised”, no one is.

As for the “be ready”, that is finally now.
