Boston is without a doubt the toughest team in the AL East, but if anything, the New York Yankees proved that they are meant to contend in the first half.

With the return of the Starlin Castro and Matt Holiday, the Yankees lineup is looking stronger than

ever. There is one thing standing in the way of the New York Yankees.

It’s not the Red Sox, or the Rays, it’s themselves.

Outside of the batting order, the Yankees are unbelievably inconsistent. The pitching from starters to the bullpen limped into the All-Star Break, and the coaching is producing tons of questions.

Outside of Luis Severino, the New York Yankees pitching staff is abysmal. If the Bombers want a chance at the AL East title, they will need to make a move for a pitcher.
