The Knicks have had quite the busy offseason, highlighted by the end of the Phil Jackson era. We recap all of the Knicks moves thus far and the potential ones still to come.

The Knicks have been one of the busiest teams this offseason, and they are not quite done yet.

Perhaps the biggest news from this offseason was the end of the Phil Jackson era, which was long overdue.

The split was on the heels of Phil Jackson saying he would not shy away from trading Kristaps Porzingis. Jackson said this simply because the 7’3″ Latvian didn’t show up to his exit meeting…how ridiculous is that?

Jackson was going to trade one of the best power forwards in the league, not because of his play or locker room presence, but because he didn’t show up to something that meant nothing.

Well, it’s the end for the Zen Master and we can move on. Now, the Knicks are looking for his replacement.

There were rumors that the Knicks were going to get former Cavaliers GM David Griffin before Griffin took his name out of the running.

Now they have no leads and no one knows who will end up as the head of the Knicks. Whoever it is, they’ll be taking a position where they will be criticized for every move or lack thereof.

When you agree to become the Knicks president you are agreeing to be placed under a microscope for years to come.

This is the exact reason why the position is still vacant and why David Griffin took his name out of the conversation.

Whoever decides to take the position will have a lot of decisions to make, starting with reviewing what New York has done so far this offseason and deciding how to proceed.
