Number Four- All-Around Player

Hischier was listed as a center on the Halifax Mooseheads roster, but he brings so much more to the table.

Right off of the bat, Hischier is one of the best two-way forwards in the Draft. It was definitely a top reason why he went ahead of Nolan Patrick.

Patrick received immediate praise for his scorer’s mentality, but he doesn’t have the defensive instinct Hischier has.

It’s really fun to watch a forward with the defensive capability that the Swiss native has. He showed it a lot during the World Juniors while playing for team Switzerland.

The Devils need an all-around presence like Hischier on the ice. He also maintains a great scoring mentality, but he also has impeccable stick-handling skills. He can pass very crisply, and it makes him a lethal threat at any level.

The league needs more players like this, and a team like the Devils really needs a player with this talent set.
