Number Five- Stats don’t lie

Hischier is a dominant force of an 18-year-old.

In just 57 games for the Halifax Mooseheads, the young gun notched 38 goals, 48 assists, which accounted for 86 total points.

Those are video game type numbers. He racks up stats like no young talent the Devils have seen, and it will prove that he was worth the top overall pick.

Not all sports fans are numbers people, but with numbers this good, the kid is going to change some opinions. He plays with so much heart, and he breaks the stat bank.

I love that.

Give me a guy that wants to be the best in the game. Those with that type of mindset are ready to break the mold, and he’s so young that his drive will be around for a long time.

With any young talent, you can’t expect him to do this right away. It’ll take time for him to develop into a bigtime player, but if this is the start, fans have to be licking their chops to see him in the league.
