New York Giants: Victor Cruz agrees to a 1-year deal with Chicago Bears
By Mike Vivalo
New York Giants former wideout Victor Cruz signed with the Chicago Bears. The veteran is set to salsa in the Windy City next season.
Former New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz will be playing for another football team next season.
After being cut by my beloved Giants in February, Cruz has been meeting with teams and Thursday agreed in principle to a 1-year deal with the Chicago Bears. I wish you well Mr. Cruz.
Cruz was already delegated to 3rd string action last season with the emergence of rookie WR Sterling Shepard.
The “aging” star (Cruz is 30 years old) was making a bit to much cash and the team that he seemingly played his guts out for…cut him. Now, he has latched on with a bad team to ride out his playing days.

It’s a reminder that sports is a business. It’s a reminder that I have to explain to my 5-year-old why we won’t be salsa dancing anymore on Sunday afternoons.
Besides the Salsa dancing, the cameo on Ballers, the front row seats at fashion week, and all his extra curricular activities, Victor did give us Giants fans some insane highlights.
I just watched his top 10 plays video, and I forgot how fast Victor was. Last year he was about half as fast as in 2011.

So yeah it will be weird seeing him dance in a Bears jersey, but at least he signed with someone, and still gets to play professional football. See you on the catwalk Mr. Cruz.
