The New York Knicks have a lot on their plate this offseason. They are staring at another roster overhaul after the veteran push the last offseason did not pan out. The Knicks had playoff aspirations; instead, they are selecting in the top-10 of the 2017 NBA Draft.

There were a lot of things that played into the Knicks struggles during the 2016-17 season. Injuries played a part, as the Knicks had only five players appear in at least 70 games. The constant change with schemes on the court didn’t help either as Jeff Hornacek seemed to be handcuffed from the front office, namely Phil Jackson.

Jackson has been at the center of the problems with the Knicks. His decisions with the roster have no panned out and he has rubbed plenty of people the wrong way. Players do not like the triangle offense and his top general, Kurt Rambis, is not well liked.

Jackson has also taken plenty of shots at Carmelo Anthony through different forms of media. It has been so bad that even the NBPA have gotten involved.

This has had a trickle down effect. People have said that free agents are turned off by how Jackson has treated Anthony, and who could blame them. Even his own players are upset, namely Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis skipped his exit meeting at the end of the season. He cited the dysfunction surrounding the team as his reason for skipping and intends to be away from the team for a while. Porzingis has said he loves New York and wants to stay, but winning is his No.1 priority.

The dysfunction has caused teams to try and take advantage. The Knicks have reportedly received calls about Porzingis after he skipped his meeting. Which teams could have been calling the Knicks? Check out our slideshow of five teams that could trade for Porzingis.
