The New York Giants are in need of a solid running back, and they could steal one in D’onta Foreman. The Texas RB could be a great fit in the Giants backfield.

New York Giants fans… hold your breath. There is a chance that the Giants take a running back, and a great one at that.

Texas running back D’onta Foreman is, quite simply, a beast. He has all the intangibles of a great running back, and there is a chance he could be in blue nest season.

Foreman has been one of the most under-the-radar players heading into the 2017 NFL Draft. It could be all of the hype around Leonard Fournette, or the mystery of Christian McCaffrey that leaves Foreman in the back talk, but believe me, he’s a stud.

Foreman was the man at Texas. In 2016 he ran for 6.3 yards per carry, 15 touchdowns, and had a cool 2,028 yards which ranks second in Texas Longhorns single season history.

Most mocks have Foreman going somewhere in the late second, or early third round. If the Giants are smart, they should take him in the second.

New York’s first round pick is going to determine whether or not they take Foreman. If Big Blue takes a tight end, fans can kiss Foreman goodbye. The Giants can’t afford to draft back-to-back skill players.

If Jerry Reese wants to win a ring next season, here’s what he has to do. Draft a defensive player in the first round, and take Foreman in the second.  Then watch his team roll on the road this year.

Foreman has size, his speed is unrivaled, and his first step is unbelievable. The Giants have to take a shot on this kid because he will be the future of the Big Blue backfield.
