New York Giants Select O.J. Howard In NFL Mock Draft 1.0
After winning the Super Bowl in 2015, the Denver Broncos missed the playoffs in 2016. With their defense taking a step back, the Broncos’ offense wasn’t good enough to make up for the drop in their elite defense from the Super Bowl. Getting production from the quarterback position was an issue, and they also struggled to run the football.
With multiple problems, one of the most glaring was along the offensive line for the Broncos. The unit struggled to protect their quarterback, and they also struggled to open up running lanes. While Matt Paradis was very good at center, there wasn’t much else on the offensive line for the Broncos.
With the 20th overall pick in our mock draft, the Broncos will be addressing that by selecting offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk from Wisconsin. At Wisconsin, Ramczyk had a very nice career for himself, and he is arguably the best offensive lineman available in the draft. With both tackle positions being question marks for the Broncos, Ramczyk could play on either side for Denver.
Since Ramczyk played left tackle at Wisconsin, he would certainly be more comfortable there in the NFL. However, he didn’t play a lot of games against elite competition after transferring to Wisconsin. Getting a potential starting left tackle with the 20th overall pick would be excellent value for the Broncos in this spot.
