Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets Recap, Highlights, Final Score, More
The Brooklyn Nets came up short Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Mavericks at the Barclays Center.
It was a tough Sunday afternoon for the Brooklyn Nets. Not only did they lose the game to the Dallas Mavericks, they also lost starting point guard Jeremy Lin again to injury.
Lin was able to make it through seven minutes this afternoon. He looked to injury his ankle in the second quarter and was forced from the game. After riding the stationary bike for a couple of minutes, Lin went to the locker room. He didn’t return to the game after that, as Spencer Dinwiddie took over point guard duties.
Dinwiddie did well in replacing Lin. He scored 18 points with seven assists, two rebounds, and one steal. If Lin has to miss time again, Dinwiddie will probably take over as the starting point guard.
Dallas received some strong guard play in the game as well. Former Net Yogi Ferrell, now the Mavericks starting point guard, scored eight points with five assists, two rebounds, and three steals.

While he struggled a bit from the field, the Mavericks as a whole had their way offensively. Brooklyn couldn’t slow them down, allowing Dallas to shoot 53.9 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the arc.
The Nets were able to score some as well but didn’t shoot as efficiently. The Nets made only 43.1 percent of their shots overall and 41.9 percent from deep. The Nets weren’t able to get much production from anyone outside Brook Lopez and Dinwiddie, ultimately leading to their demise.
