March Madness has lived up to the name thus far in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. There have been some excellent games played as the big boys have come to play with a lot of the favorites moving on to the Round of 32.

There are a number of powerhouse teams with traditions that have survived. Two of them will be facing off in the Round of 32 in the East Region when the Wisconsin Badgers play the Villanova Wildcats.

Wisconsin and Villanova both advanced with strong performances in the first round. Wisconsin, an eight seed, defeated the ninth-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies 84-74. Villanova, the No.1 overall seed in the tournament, defeated Mount St. Mary’s 76-56 after struggling with them for most of the first half.

Eight and nine seeds haven’t fared well against a one seed in history, but there aren’t many eight seeds with the pedigree of Wisconsin. They will not back down to the defending champion Wildcats, as they have plenty of experience on their roster.
