Jack Doyle: TE

Over the past two seasons no team in NFL get less production from the tight end position then the New York Jets. It’s clear that they need have a glaring need at the position and whoever will be the quarterback next season will need a reliable tight end.

Jack Doyle is coming off his best season 59 catches and five touchdowns in Indianapolis. At 26, he has his best years ahead of him, and while he may not be an explosive tight end in terms of big plays, he’s a solid pass catcher and reliable target in the middle of the field.

That lack of explosiveness could help the Jets as teams could devalue him on the market as teams would be looking for tight ends that can stretch the fields. Still, Doyle is solid blocker and red zone target that would fill one of the team’s biggest glaring needs. Not to mention, whoever is under center next year would benefit from having Doyle as a target in the middle of the field.
