New York Knicks: 5 Takeaways From Their Homestand
The New York Knicks wrapped up their homestand over the weekend. Check out our slideshow of the five takeaways from the games.
The New York Knicks wrapped up a five-game homestand on Sunday afternoon against the San Antonio Spurs. Surprisingly, that was the only game on the homestand that the Knicks won.
New York went into that game on a four-game losing streak. After defeating the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn on February 4th, the Knicks went into their slide. The homestand opened up with a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and was followed up with losses to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets.

The homestand was one of the worst in the history of the franchise. They were able to avoid becoming infamous, as the Knicks have never gone winless on a homestand that was at least five games; the one victory tied the franchise-worst mark. It was a disappointing performance by the Knicks, who are still in the playoff hunt and could have really used the moves to pick up some momentum.
Instead, the Knicks stayed mired in controversy and were in the media for all of the wrong reasons. Winning is the best deodorant, but the Knicks haven’t been winning much. With the product on the court being so poor, the off-court events become even more heightened.
There is always a chance the Knicks can get things going, but they are running out of time to do so. Was there anything during the homestand that gives hope to a turnaround? Check out our five takeaways from the Knicks homestand.
