The New York Knicks were handled easily by the Toronto Raptors Sunday afternoon as their struggles continued.

The New York Knicks had yet another rough outing on Sunday. The Toronto Raptors blew the Knicks out of the Air Canada Centre with relative ease. With the loss the Knicks have now dropped 10 of their last 12 games, dropping their record to 18-23 overall and 6-15 on the road. The Raptors are now 27-13 and 15-6 at home.

It was another rough effort from the Knicks defensively. The Raptors got whatever they wanted offensively and led by as many as 38 points in the third quarter. Toronto shot 49.4 percent overall from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc.

The starting lineup had their way against the Knicks starting lineup, who were without Kristaps Porzingis once again. They then lost his replacement, Lance Thomas, two minutes into the game after he was elbowed in the head by Jonas Valanciunas as he did not return.

More from New York Knicks

It probably would not have mattered too much, as the whole starting unit got crushed. The best plus/minus ratio in the starting five, outside of Thomas, was -22 for Courtney Lee. The Knicks hit a low in the third quarter when they scored only eight points and the Raptors really extended their lead.

The Knicks had a strong first quarter, as they trailed by only one point going into the second quarter. But the Raptors would blow them out in the next two quarters, outscoring the Knicks by 33 points.

Three Stars

C Willy Hernangomez, Knicks — With Porzingis out of the lineup with his heel/Achilles and Joakim Noah in foul trouble early in the game, Hernangomez received extra minutes today. He had a solid game off the bench for the Knicks, scoring eight points with 13 rebounds and one block. Hernangomez has been in and out of the rotation but usually plays well when given minutes.

SG Demar DeRozan, Raptors — DeRozan had a strong game against the Knicks, scoring 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting. He also made all seven of his free throw attempts for an efficient game. He added five rebounds and five assists.

C Jonas Valanciunas, Raptors — Valanciunas had a strong game inside for Raptors. In 28 minutes, Valanciunas recorded his 15th double-double of the season. He finished the game with 12 points and 16 rebounds, adding one assist as well.
